Our Story: How It All Started
Above and Beyond the Playground began in 2016 with a simple goal: give students a safe place after school where they could grow, stay accountable, and succeed in the classroom.
What started as after school care at Vinson High School and Brown Deer Middle School quickly became more than just a place to spend time after the bell. Our program focused on helping students build strong study habits, take responsibility for their work, and understand the importance of following through on their commitments. With consistent support and guidance, many students saw real improvements in their confidence and their GPA.
Over the years, the impact of the program continued to grow. In 2025, we officially became Above and Beyond the Playground Before and After School Care, we are here to support students academically, personally, and socially, and to help them reach their potential both in school and beyond it.

Our mission is to empower children to become confident, compassionate, and curious individuals. We are dedicated to enriching their lives through tailored academic support, engaging activities, and mentorship, fostering a love for learning and personal growth. We strive to create a nurturing community where every child feels valued, respected, and inspired to reach for the stars.
Our facility has gone through all required safety checks and approvals. We follow structured check-in and check-out procedures, keep trained staff on site at all times, and maintain a clean, supervised environment for every part of the day.
